#AMIGAugust is a month-long chain raid event on Twitch to promote gaming on the Amiga platform. In short we use #AMIGAugust in the title and tags when we stream Amiga during August and raid out to other streamers who are doing the same thing. We aim to help people meet new people, to help viewers find streamers they like but don’t yet know of, and to spread the Amiga joy message! We did a similar event in April called #AMIGApril.
If you want to participate, you can just do it on your own by using the tag (remember to raid to other channels using it!). There is no requirement regarding the amount of Amiga streams you do! If you’d like to be featured on the list, hit me up on Twitch (retroDemiurgi) or Discord (demiurgi). You can also discuss #AMIGAugust on the AmigaLive Discord server.
Also, if you don’t have original hardware and don’t quite know where to start with emulating, feel free to ask! We can also help you pick games that might interest you depending on your taste. First things first: download AmigaLive!

Competition/Challenges
In addition to chaining raids we offer a little optional challenge competition to those interested.ย You can see the challenges for the 2024 AMIGAugust in the table below. We tried to weigh the points for different challenges according to the difficulty but easy challenges might take longer to complete than some of the tougher ones. It’s all subjective and for fun anyway! For high score challenges you got 4 points for first place at the end of the month, 3 points for 2nd place, 2 points for 3rd and 1 point for 4th and 5th. If you were the only person to complete a non-hi-score challenge, you got an extra point for it!
Trainers, cheats, save states and such can’t be used when completing challenges but they are allowed for practicing. Additionally, for high score challenges endless enemy spawning or any other kind of point milking is not permitted. The 2024 competition lasted until August 31st midnight UTC. Winner was VideoGamEndingsDatabase! Whereas the #AMIGApril winner Girolamo chose a mug as his prize, VED chose a T-shirt (as seen below). Final scoresheet here.
